These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ShotReceipt platform, including the web application at app.shotreceipt.com, the ShotReceipt desktop application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by ShotReceipt ("we," "us," or "our").
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- "Operator" — a business entity that subscribes to ShotReceipt to manage one or more facilities.
- "Facility" — a physical location (e.g., golf simulator venue) managed by an Operator through the Service.
- "Employee" — a user granted access to a Facility by an Operator, with a defined role (Owner, Operator, or Viewer).
- "Guest" — an end-user who visits a Facility and whose recordings, rounds, or profile information is managed through the Service.
- "Recording" — a video or screenshot captured by the ShotReceipt desktop application at a Facility.
- "Round" — golf simulator session data including scorecards, statistics, and game settings.
2. Accounts
Operator and Employee Accounts
Operators register for the Service and may invite Employees with facility-scoped roles and permissions. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
Guest Accounts
Guests are registered when they provide identifying information (email, phone number, or simulator tracking ID) at a Facility or through the guest registration form. Guests may access their account via magic-link login or password. Guest sessions persist via remember-me tokens until explicitly logged out.
3. Use of the Service
Permitted Use
You may use the Service to:
- Record, store, and share golf simulator media (video and screenshots).
- Capture and view round scorecards and session statistics.
- Manage guest profiles, recordings, and rounds at your facilities.
- Share recordings and scorecards via share links.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or violates any third party's rights.
- Circumvent usage limits, licensing restrictions, or access controls.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the ShotReceipt desktop application or any part of the Service.
4. Recordings, Rounds, and Guest Data
Facility Content
Recordings and rounds created at a Facility are owned by the Operator of that Facility. The following authorized personnel may view, manage, and share Facility content:
- ShotReceipt Platform Administrators — for platform management, support, and troubleshooting.
- Operator Owners — full access to all content across their Facilities.
- Facility Managers and Employees — access scoped to their assigned Facility and role-based permissions (e.g., Owners have full access; Operators can manage content; Viewers can view content).
Guest Access
Guests may view their own recordings and rounds through the guest portal. Guest access to content is determined by: direct access grants from facilities, active guest subscriptions (ShotReceipt Pass), individual purchases, or free access mode configured by the Operator.
Share Links
Authorized personnel may generate share links for recordings. Share links provide public access to the associated recording and any linked round scorecard. Share links may have expiration dates. You are responsible for managing who receives share links.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Operator Subscriptions
Operators subscribe to a plan that defines usage limits including licensed bays, recordings, video minutes, storage, guests, rounds, share links, and emails per month. Usage is tracked per Facility per billing period.
Guest Purchases and Subscriptions
Guests may purchase individual recordings or subscribe to the ShotReceipt Pass for ongoing access. Guest payments are processed through Stripe. All prices are displayed in U.S. dollars. Refund requests should be directed to support@shotreceipt.com.
Payment Terms
All fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method on file. Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.
6. SMS Messaging Terms (ShotReceipt Notifications)
By providing your phone number and opting in to receive text messages from ShotReceipt (for example, by checking the SMS consent checkbox during registration or guest check-in), you consent to receive transactional SMS messages through our "ShotReceipt Notifications" program. These messages may include login links, share notifications, scorecard alerts, and purchase confirmations.
- Consent is not required: Agreeing to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service, or of using the Service.
- Frequency: Varies based on your activity. No marketing or promotional messages.
- Message and data rates may apply. Contact your carrier for details.
- Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to stop receiving texts. You will receive a single confirmation message. You may also contact support@shotreceipt.com to opt out.
- Help: Reply HELP or contact support@shotreceipt.com.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- No sharing for marketing: We will not sell, rent, or share your opt-in consent or phone number with third parties for their marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your information is handled.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, logos, and documentation, is owned by ShotReceipt and protected by intellectual property laws. Your use of the Service does not grant you ownership of any intellectual property.
Content you upload (recordings, media) remains yours (or your Operator's), subject to the license you grant us to host, process, and display it through the Service.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SHOTRECEIPT SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ShotReceipt, its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third party's rights.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any reason with reasonable notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including liability limitations, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website with a revised effective date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict of law principles.
