The last time we wrote here, ShotReceipt uploaded scores, put a live scorecard on a second screen and flagged the special shots. Since then the product has shipped several times a week, and the site now describes a different thing: a platform that captures every shot, gets it onto the guest's phone with your venue's name on it, and runs the bays themselves. Here is the tour.

Every shot, in 3D on the hole they played

Every swing is still filmed from the screen and from any cameras you've mounted, with the clip starting before the swing. What's new is what the guest gets afterwards: each shot rendered in 3D on the real hole, with arc, curve and terrain, that they can spin around on their phone. Notable shots get a picture-in-picture highlight, composited automatically, and every angle of a notable shot is now a postable MP4, so a hole-in-one can go straight into a story.

Share links are unlimited, and every page a guest opens carries your logo, your colours and a link to book again. Someone who isn't at the venue can follow the round live, shot by shot.

GSPro and X-Golf

ShotReceipt now runs on X-Golf bays as well as GSPro. Nothing to pick: the bay detects whichever simulator is installed, and a bay running both gets both. X-Golf rounds and range sessions upload with per-player attribution, scorecards render on a neutral card, and X-Golf courses render in 3D through the same pipeline. Requirements has the details.

The strike itself, frame by frame

Some launch monitors film the strike to measure it. Where yours does, every full swing now arrives with those frames attached: the club through the ball from above, the ball leaving the face, and the moment of impact, played back as slow-motion loops beside the screen and camera clips. They're on the guest's round and on the public share page, and each one downloads as a file. See them on the capture page.

The range, properly

On the range, a tap on the bay screen says who's hitting and with which club, and every ball is logged against them. The portal turns a session into a fitting tool: per-club averages with spread, a dispersion ellipse per club, and a filter by player and club. Guests can drop their own junk balls from the session.

A floor you can run from your desk

Every bay in every location is live on one page: simulator, bridge, launch monitor and lock status, the course in play, and a restart button for GSPro or the bridge. The bay tells you it's broken before a guest does, and a bay that looks alive but is silently dropping shots gets flagged.

Wear is now a ledger. Screens and mats are tracked as separate items per bay, strikes counted per item, with a history of every replacement. A day grid shows the whole venue on one canvas: bookings, rounds, extensions, locks and notable shots, time-aligned. Insights answers which nights bring new guests and how many come back.

Bays update themselves while idle, and staff get told when something needs a person: a bay down or recovered, a stale booking sync, a projector that didn't power up, a payment that failed. Fleet operations covers it.

The bay opens for the booking

A PIN lock on every monitor, tied to the reservation and carrying your branding, with a separate staff code that never gets typed on a guest screen. When time's nearly up, guests buy more from the bay. Bookings arrive from staff, from a vendor's webhook or API, from a Birrdi calendar, or through agent mode for the vendors with no API at all.

Projectors are now driven from the portal as well as from the booking: warm-up lead and pack-up dwell set once, manual on and off with a hold, and the bay confirms the projector actually reached the state. There's a Home Assistant feed if your smart-home system wants to drive them too. See bay control.

Leagues, on Simulator Golf Tour

The largest new surface. Connect your club's Simulator Golf Tour account once and every tour and tournament appears in the portal, along with the thing SGT doesn't compute: the week's winner, gross and net, when a league plays a front nine and a back nine as one competition. Score the season SGT's way or with ShotReceipt points, run team formats with the right handicap allowances, and show players their strokes on the bay screen before the first swing.

Then tell the league: an announcement with this week's results as real tables, sent under your name, with a per-venue unsubscribe. And put the board on the wall, as a link, an embed for the club's website, or full-screen on a signage screen. The leagues page walks through it.

Something to sell

A sponsored hole puts a sponsor's artwork and message on screen when a player reaches it. Sell it for a season, for a tournament, or on every course you host; upload the artwork once and it reaches every bay sized for the screen. Details on venue revenue.

Smaller things you'll notice

  • Dark mode across both portals, following the phone's setting, with a light and a dark palette per venue.
  • Check-in now asks "Which player are you hitting as?", which measurably stopped guests declining it.
  • Highlights browse by how big they were: longest drive, longest putt.
  • Guests get notifications for a round started, a purchase confirmed, and footage retention, with everything separately controllable.
  • Touchscreen support on every guest surface in the bay.
